WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Lamborghini Centenario Is A V12-Powered Huracan
Lamborghini is cooking up to celebrate founder Ferruccio's 100th birthday. Reports of the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 have previously suggested it will be based on the Aventador. But an anonymous source, who was at the car's unveiling at Pebble Beach, exclusively told CarBuzz that the limited-run supercar will in fact be based on the Huracan, with power coming from the Aventador's 6.5-liter V12 upped to 770 horsepower.
You read that right: Lamborghini has put the most powerful iteration of the Aventador’s V12 into the body of a Huracan. With aggressive styling and a longer wheelbase to accommodate the monster V12, the Centenario will come priced at 1.75M Euros ($1.95 million at today's rate) and only 20 will be built. 0-62 mph will happen in around 2.8 seconds while top speed will be in excess of 215 mph.
