Ford Brings 2015 Everest
We’ve been spying a few different Ford trucks lately going around the country. They seem to be a bit smaller than the full size SUVs we are used to but bigger than the CUVs they’ve begun to build. Now it seems we might know what those heavily camo’d trucks are, the Everest SUV.
Based on the overseas Ranger platform, the Everest essentially is a smaller Explorer but with all the ruggedness that the Ranger offers. The new truck just made its debut at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Beijing.
The Everest uses a range of engines including a few turbo diesels, an EcoBoost, and a 3.2L inline 5 cylinder and can wade into 30-inches of water. While the truck hasn’t been confirmed for the U.S. market, you can see that a slightly larger CUV could be good marketing sense from Ford. Especially considering the truck’s off-road abilities.
Hopefully Ford brings the Everest over here because it’s way better looking than any of the Flexs or Explorers we are already used to.
